Raya implements integrated solutions for Ministry of Supply and Internal Trade

As part of its continues efforts to increase its efficiency, Ministry of Supply and Internal trade contracted Raya to automate the work process in the ministry.

The project included upgrading the ministry’s infrastructure to fit the highly advanced technical solutions needed to elevate the work process. Raya developed 35 different programs to automate the various functions in the ministry in addition to connecting the ministry’s five separate buildings with the Information and Decision Support Center in order to allow fast and secure exchange of information between the two entities. In addition, Raya subcontracted other vendors to build an electricity network, central fire alarm system and to provide furniture. Raya is committed to train employees and to monitor the operation of all applications’ for three months in addition to a- one-year warrenty on all applications.

Ahlam Rushdy, Head of the Minister Office and the Project Manger, said that selecting Raya for the project was based on recognizing our need to completely change our infrastructure to fit the new system’s requirements. Rushdy said that Raya’s experience, well trained staff, and it ability to tailor the latest technical solutions to fit the work needs were the key success factors which contributed to increasing the work efficiency by “allowing exchange of accurate and timely-relevant information within the organization which improves the decision making process,” she added.

“The main challenge faced Raya in this project was to guarantee the quality of the construction and electricity work, which are not provided directly by Raya,” said Ashraf Sabry, Vice Chairman of Raya and CEO of IT. Sabry said that Raya’s dedication to meeting its customers’ needs and expectations motivated us to subcontract third party under our own supervision. Sabry added that Raya’s experience in implementing E Government projects increased its ability to understand this sector’s need which makes this project “an excellent example for Raya’s commitment to its customers’ satisfaction,” He Said.
